CWA Sponsored Panel at AAW Symposium in Phoenix

Don't miss Ellsworth, Wallace, and Kelsey discussing "Chasing Professionalism in Woodturning" - Saturday, June 14th, 2014, from 10:30a-12n, Room 106C of the Phoenix Convention Center .

AAW's annual symposium, taking place June 13-15, 2014, in Phoenix, will include a CWA-sponsored panel discussion entitled "Chasing Professionalism in Woodturning". The panel will address the pleasures and pains of becoming a "professional" in the craft world. Among other topics, moderator and master artist David Ellsworth, panelist and author/curator Kevin Wallace, and panelist and journalist/editor John Kelsey will tackle: What defines a professional? What is a "Master" in woodturning? Are definitions and labels important? What is the difference between a 'collector' and a 'buyer'? Is woodturning really breaking ground as an art form, or just digging up the same seeds planted by clay and glass? It's a "must attend" happening at the symposium!
