"Homage Pot"

In a gallery - Gumps-San Francisco, #5795
From my Homage series, a tribute to my history with the art and architecture of the American Southwest, this piece in red oak burl exhibits the full uncaptured energy of what can happen after the making process is complete. This is when the maker must step aside and simply observe. It is when the potential for disaster is always present. This is the risk that must exist if a piece is to reach its full potential.
