"Black Pot-Dawn"

Emphasizing my feelings that "...wood is the most perfectly imperfect material to work with", this piece shows all the characteristics of organized disaster. The original block had magnificent figure that I couldn't pass up, yet it was replete with natural cracks that challenged the making process. Once turned, burned and dried, I then placed numerous decorative inlays across the cracks at strategic locations to decorate their presence, just in case the viewer missed them upon first inspection.
