Pink Ivory wood. Piece made for the invited AAW San José exhibition, "Beyond Containment". The fragrance in this little perfume bottle has long gone. Traces of it lingered awhile on her skin, and then slowly floated, wraith-like, upwards to the heavens, never to return; evanescent, fugitive, and beyond containment. And yet…. and yet….it is not lost forever. Somewhere deep in our brains lies a circuit, dormant, which years later awakens should we encounter this fragrance once again, and the molecules trigger a memory which floods back, of the time and the scent of her when we first met, and we relive the moment as if it were yesterday. The memory is contained within us, for a lifetime.
