Hap Sakwa

1985    Size   H: 16 in  W: 10 in  D: 8 in

This is one of several vessels I created in the mid 1980's for the pure self indulgent pleasure of taking an idea to the farthest reaches of my imaginings. The form is hollow - it tilts and swivels and hold nothing more than the aspiration of a young eager maker trying to show the world he could dive through flaming hoops head first into the waiting jaws of a lion. It was quite an exercise in technical craftsmanship. Painted wood and steel.
