In a private collection - Norman Stevens Spoon Collection
This is a commission spoon for Norman Stevens, and is in his book "A Gathering of Spoons", on page 37. I feel very honored that he would include it in his book. The bowl of the spoon is carved and pierced from a solid piece of recycled sugar maple. The handle is black mangrove driftwood from Ponce Inlet, Florida, with waxed cordage left over from my custon leathersmithing days in the last millenium. The case, which looks like a military side-arm holster, is made from palm tree branch material.
