Poplar, cherry, silk. The first of our pieces made in Philadelphia to use the 'wrong' side of the veneer board to carve on. The board is bent in a loop and sewn, the stitch derived from Japanese stab-binding techniques. Shown in the Allturnatives show at The Center for Art in Wood, August- October 2013.
