Louis Vadeboncoeur

2013    Size   H: 6.5 in  W: 3 in

Not for sale

This piece was inspired, although distantly, by the brilliant satined glass works Frank Loyd Wright designed for his houses. The three views of this vase, all different, represent, the youth/growth, the working and the more meditative phases of life. This view is of the working phase of life where we are all very busy, sometimes with nothingness. Of manitoba Maple, because of its very pale coloration, airbrushed with varying intensities of black with lines drawn with india ink. Finished with spar urethane varnish to impart a glass-like finish and feel.
