In a private collection - Collection of Gary Quinlan
This one started with two pieces of awareness. I wanted to place the available heartwood in the center of the spoon bowl and second I wanted to surround it with visually rich marble like sapwood forms. I rarely draw but in this case I drew on the raw wood and gradually a form emerged that resembled a many legged sea creature gliding through the water. Honduras Rosewood Burl - Central America
